Puppy has a umbilical cord tear, but seems strong otherwise. Owner has him in a "diaper" to keep the area moist and away from Mothers tongue.

From the cam's chat screen, they were back home at 4:40am. They did need a c-section. The flashy girl pup (who was stuck in the canal) did have a hard time coming around, and there was a flashy boy behind her who came out screaming.

The first pup's abdomen was sewn up, but they think s/he is a hermaphrodite. The girl pup is being tube fed.

So only 4 pups, final count is: 1 plain brindle boy, 1 flashy brindle boy, 1 flashy brindle girl, 1 flashy we're not so sure yet.

Praying that the pups thrive and grow strong and that mum Reese heals quickly! And I am hoping the human mum can get some much needed rest.
