Whelp Watch

Lebec Briards has joined us with no time to spare! They've got babies due tomorrow. The camera is installed, and USB wires are being strung to get the camera closer to the whelping box. Hopefully we'll have our first live birth on camera, if they can get the camera where they need it in time, if not, we'll have a newborn litter of Briards to watch soon!

The camera may go up and down as they get those wires attached, and fiddle with camera placement. If she goes into labor on camera, and I see it, I'll send out a general email so all can watch if they're home and awake.

Got Dizzy's cam up and am eagerly watching ... except I have to take time out to go to doc. Ah, I might miss the blessed events, but will be happy to see the furbabies when I get back. Thanks for letting us watch.

I can't believe how easy it was to get online. Would have been even easier with a spare laptop, but I'll manage! Thanks to Dian and Heather, webcams are no longer a complete mystery.

Dizzie is very content right now, wish she was a little more restless to show she was getting closer. I'm sure she'll start about midnight, just to show who's in charge. I'm lucky her mom Claude is here, to watch her while we wait. Usually I'm the one sitting in the box, waiting for a contraction. We did progesterone testing and an AI, so I'm pretty clear pups are due today. If anyone wants to see the sire, the litter info is at www.briard.com/litters/dizziexrhett.html.

If anyone ahs any suggestions on camera angles, lighting, etc, please send 'em my way! I'm completely new to this whole thing. I love that there is a forum and site like this, and will be heading to showdog-L next to talk it up.

AWWWW I want to be able to see her. WWWAAAAAHHHHHHH My laptop wont let me view the cams and I have TRIED everything that anyone can come up with. Even deleted some antivirus programs. Nothing seems to work. Darn my bad luck. I looked at the website and she sure is a pretty girl.

I am using Internet Explorer. I cannot view ANY of the marestare cams except Elements Arabians. Even Rich is at a loss as to what to do. Im having major marestare withdrawls. Wish my darn PC hadnt crashed. Its driving me crazy. I have installed, reinstalled, and deleted numerous things and still no cams.

What a great new cam angle! Not sure I can stay up til midnight with you but sending good thoughts your way!

When I got a laptop with Vista I couldn't keep the cams up either, until I made the laptop not wireless by actually plugging the laptop into the router, and of course I keep it plugged into the wall too to keep in charged. So don't know whether it's a Vista issue or a laptop issue, but try connecting the router to the laptop.

I believe I had to buy an ethernet cable to plug laptop into router.
